You need one connection for each screen that plays at the same moment, not one for every device you own. A family that installs IPTV on four devices but rarely watches on more than two at once needs two connections. IPTV LEVEL UP plans go from 1 to 5 connections.
What counts as a connection
A connection is one active stream. Installing the app doesn't use a connection; playing something does. When you stop watching on one device, that connection becomes free for another.
If you start more streams than your plan allows, the extra one gets an error, or an existing stream stops.
Count your peak, not your devices
Think about the busiest moment of a typical week: a Sunday afternoon of sport, or weekday evenings when everyone is home. How many screens are on at that moment?
| Household | Devices installed | Usually watching at once | Connections |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single person | TV + phone | 1 | 1 |
| Couple, different tastes | 2 TVs + phones | 2 | 2 |
| Family with kids | 3 TVs + tablets | 2–3 | 3 |
| Shared house | 4–5 TVs | 3–4 | 4–5 |
Phones and tablets count too, while they're playing.
Check your internet can keep up
Each stream needs bandwidth. As a rough rule, allow 15–25 Mbps per HD stream and more for 4K. Three simultaneous HD streams therefore need a connection that comfortably delivers 50–75 Mbps to those devices, with room left for everything else in the house.
If your internet is slow, more connections won't help: the streams will compete with each other and all of them will buffer. See fixing buffering.
How the price changes
Here's what each extra connection costs on the 12-month plan:
| Connections | 12-month total |
|---|---|
| 1 | $69 |
| 2 | $109 |
| 3 | $139 |
| 4 | $169 |
| 5 | $199 |
Every combination is on the plans page.
Can I change later?
Yes. If you find you need another screen, contact support with your order ID; the price difference is worked out for the time left on your plan.
One household only
Connections are meant for one household. Using the same login at the same time in different homes can trigger security checks and is against the terms.
Quick answer
- Count how many screens play at the busiest moment.
- Make sure your internet supports that many streams.
- Choose that number; upgrade later if it's not enough.
