How to Troubleshoot IPTV Login and Playback Problems

Fix "invalid credentials", "server not found", black screens, no sound and expired accounts, one error message at a time.

Most IPTV login and playback errors come from a small typing mistake, an expired subscription, or too many devices playing at once. Find your error message below and follow the fixes in order; each one starts with the most likely cause.

"Invalid username or password" / "Authorization failed"

  1. Re-type the details by hand. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. Voice input and autocorrect add spaces and capitals.
  2. Check for spaces. Copying from an email can add a space at the end that you can't see.
  3. Make sure the subscription is active. Has it expired? Was payment confirmed?
  4. Confirm it's the right login type. Entering Xtream details into an M3U field (or the other way round) fails.

"Server not found" / "Unable to connect"

  1. Check the server URL format. It usually looks like http://example.com:8080: it needs http:// (or https:// if your provider says so) and the port number.
  2. Don't add extra paths. For an Xtream login, the URL stops after the port.
  3. Test your internet. Can the device open other apps that stream?
  4. Try another network. If it works on mobile data but not on your home Wi-Fi, your router or internet provider may be blocking the address. A different DNS or a VPN can confirm this.

"Maximum connections reached" / stream stops when someone else starts watching

Every screen playing at the same time uses a connection. Close the player on devices you're not watching (some apps keep streaming in the background), or upgrade to more connections. See how many connections you need.

"Account expired"

Your plan has ended. Renew it, then fully close and reopen the player, or remove and re-add the profile so it refreshes.

Black screen with sound

The player can't decode the video format on that device.

  • Switch between hardware and software decoder in the player's settings.
  • If the player offers a stream format option (TS or HLS), try the other one.
  • Try a different player app on the same device.

Picture but no sound

  • Check the TV or soundbar isn't muted or on the wrong input.
  • Change the audio track in the player during playback.
  • On Android devices, set audio output to Stereo or PCM instead of passthrough.

Channel list loads, but nothing plays

  • Wait a minute after the first login: some players finish downloading in the background.
  • Check that a VPN or ad blocker isn't blocking the stream addresses.
  • Try a different channel. If none play, contact support with the exact error.

Movies and series are missing

You're probably using an M3U link. Sign in with Xtream Codes instead; most players only show on-demand sections with that login. Why it matters.

When to contact support

If you've tried the steps above, send support:

  • your order ID,
  • the device and player app you're using,
  • the exact error message (a photo of the screen helps),
  • whether it happens on every channel or only some.

That information usually gets a fix in one reply. Device-specific troubleshooting is at the bottom of each setup guide, for example iPhone.
