How to set up IPTV LEVEL UP on Mac

On a Mac, use VLC to open your M3U link or install a Mac App Store player such as IPTVX for a full guide with movies and series. Both work on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Setup takes about 10 minutes.

Step by step

Set up IPTV LEVEL UP on Mac

  1. 1

    Install a player

Download VLC from videolan.org, or install IPTVX from the Mac App Store.
  2. 2

    VLC: open your M3U link

Choose File → Open Network, paste the M3U link and click Open. Use Window → Playlist to switch channels.
  3. 3

    IPTVX: add an Xtream account

Add a new provider, choose Xtream Codes, and paste your username, password and server URL.
  4. 4

    Load the TV guide

Most players fetch the EPG automatically with an Xtream login. If the guide stays empty, open the app's EPG settings and press update, or paste the EPG URL from your welcome email. The first download can take a few minutes.

If something goes wrong

macOS says the app can't be opened
Only open apps from the App Store or the developer's site. For VLC, right-click the app, choose Open, then confirm.
Picture freezes, sound continues
In VLC, increase network caching in Settings → Show All → Input / Codecs.
Fans get loud on 4K
Use a player with hardware decoding (IPTVX or IINA) instead of software decoding.

FAQ

Mac questions

Can I AirPlay from my Mac to Apple TV?

Yes, but installing a player on the Apple TV itself gives smoother playback.

Is VLC enough?

For live channels, yes. For movies, series and a proper guide, an Xtream player is better.
